On the Edge is the title for DAC’s 2018 Open Exhibition; DAC members were asked to react to this title and submit work based on their own interpretation. The exhibition includes a wide range of work from artists at varying points in their creative development. DAC’s aim is to raise the profile of the artists involved; increasing artwork sales; support and develop career progression and to build relationships between peers and with exhibiting venues.

Disability Arts Cymru (DAC) believes that D/deaf and disabled people have an exciting and valuable contribution to make to the arts in Wales. We are committed to working with individuals and organisations to celebrate the diversity of D/deaf and disabled arts and culture; developing equality of opportunity to engage in creative practice. As a national advocacy agency, DAC provides a range of support and creative advice, training (Disability Equality Training & Mental Health First Aid) and professional development opportunities to approximately 300 members working across Wales.

DAC is an Arts Portfolio Wales client and the lead organisation for Disability and the Arts in Wales; with Regional Officers in North West, North East, West and South Wales. Over the 35 years that DAC has been operating, the organisation has developed a wealth of knowledge, skills and experience within the specialist field of advocacy in the arts; specifically orientated to support those people with additional access requirements caused by a long term physical and/or mental health conditions. We are a registered charity and membership organisation, providing a voice for D/deaf and disabled people throughout Wales in all matters relating to the arts.
