18 August 2022

Time: 13:30 - 15:30

Children's workshop

This is a caption

This fun two hour workshop will introduce students to one of the earliest printing processes. They will learn how to create their own ‘cyanotypes’, experimenting with the process in a variety of ways to produce beautiful blue original prints exposed by sunlight.

Participants are encouraged to bring a few objects with them – for example, something small that has a defined shape they connect with, wildflowers, leaves, or please provide a digital image in advance which can be made into a negative for your unique print.

This session is aimed at children aged 12-16.

Parents, guardians, or carers can attend the workshop if needed without additional payment. Children under the age of 8 must be accompanied by a legal guardian.

Please contact [email protected] if you require more information on our COVID-19 policy or would like to request additional access support.

This summer Mostyn has partnered with CARN to deliver a free programme of artist-led workshops and activities over the six week summer holidays.

Aimed for ages 6-11 and 12-16, these workshops invite young people to explore new materials and processes inspired by our current exhibition Temporary Atlas: Mapping the Self in the Art of Today. The sessions will give young people that chance to create new works which use mapping to explore themes of identity, spirituality, subconscious, feeling and memory.

These free activities have been made possible with a grant from Welsh Government.
