Jonathan Baldock, Held, 2026 (Installation View) at Arnolfini. Courtesy of the artist and Arnolfini. Photography by Dan Weill.
Join us for the launch of our new exhibition, Held by Jonathan Baldock, on Saturday 24 October from 10.30am to 4.30pm.
Held was developed by Arnolfini in Bristol and tours to Mostyn from 24 October to 13 February. The exhibition includes textiles, ceramics, and sculptures produced over the past two decades of Baldock’s career. At its heart is Bear Hug, a monumental bear sculpture, commissioned by Arnolfini, that can hold visitors in its arms.
Held is featured as one of Frieze magazine’s ‘Best Shows to See in the UK this Autumn’ and received a five-star review in The Guardian.
Baldock will lead a tour of the exhibitions at 2pm, followed by a book signing of his recent monograph, Held, published by Arnolfini. Our exhibition launches are free to attend and open to all. A workshop for children and families, inspired by Baldock’s work, will run from 11am to 3pm.
Held has been generously supported by the Henry Moore Foundation.
