Artist profiles and statements

Bryn Teg Ceramics

Unique Ceramics inspired by Myth, Magic & Folklore, Isle of Anglesey Studio

Claire Tuxworth Art

I’m Claire Tuxworth, a wildlife artist based in beautiful North Wales. The paintings I create celebrate the hidden wonders found in our wild woodlands and the enchanting fragments of forest life. I offer both my original gouache paintings and giclee art prints to folk who want to bring nature into their home and decorate their walls with a little woodland enchantment.

Debbie Nairn

I am a maker of slip cast ceramics using mainly porcelain but incorporating all clays. Based on nature and its designs and lifecycles.

Eleri Griffiths Photographer

I am a photographer and photographic artist using contemporary, traditional and alternative photographic processes in my work.

Gareth Williams Printmaker

I’m a designer and printmaker based in North Wales, producing limited edition, hand-pulled screen and lino prints as well as decorative art inspired by pop-art, punk, fairground, and old-school tattoo styles.

Trained as an illustrator, I’ve spent the last 33 years working as a graphic designer, art-editing, and designing some of the UK’s most iconic custom motorcycle magazines —as well as many other publications.

I returned to printmaking in 2023 as an analogue antidote to my digital workday, but it quickly became a full-time obsession. I aim to keep my process as digital-free as possible. My current works began as small linocuts incorporating typography from a collection antique woodblock letters. I like to carve into soft materials to enhance the unpredictability of the lines, which become more exaggerated when enlarged for screen prints—giving each piece a unique character. Every print is hand-pulled in my studio.

Jenny Murray Ceramics

I make a variety of decorative and domestic ceramics, wheel thrown and hand built.

HER Ceramics

From her studio on the Isle of Anglesey, North Wales, Harriet creates small batches of stoneware ceramics for the home. Focusing on functional forms, subtle glaze finishes, and organic textures, each piece is thoughtfully made to encourage a sense of connection, while celebrating the quiet craftsmanship and tactile nature of handmade objects.

Lost In The Wood

Laura Cameron (Lost In The Wood) uses crochet and needle felting to create vibrant soft-sculptures inspired by anatomy, medicine and plants. Laura enjoys subverting the expectations which often accompany textiles, promoting them as a place where art, science, and stories meet. She is based in North Wales.

Mockup Goods Co.

My name is Matthew Storrow and I am a Liverpool-based illustrator who runs the illustration studio Mockup Goods Co., where I create artwork that brings together my love of Risograph printing and technical illustration. My work combines a range of influences – from mid-century graphic design and technical drawing styles to vintage inspiration from old block prints, matchbook designs, and retro magazine ads.

I work primarily with Risograph printing because I love how the process gives each print its own unique character with vibrant spot colours and a distinctive tactile quality.

Through Mockup Goods Co., I create an ever-growing collection of art prints, greeting cards and stickers featuring old architecture, gadgets and technology from chunky Polaroid cameras and Sony Walkmen to Gameboys and Tamagotchis.

With my work, I aim to bridge the gap between technical precision and the rough-around-the-edges charm of the Risograph process. My illustrations start off in a 2D or 3D technical drawing style with the Risograph printing process adding its own layer of character and texture.

Michelle Davison Fine Art

I am a local mixed media artist based in Conwy. I am inspired by the local landscape. The colours, shapes and emotion it creates.

Ceramics by Nicola

Based in Mid-Wales and returning to clay many years after being consumed by it at Cardiff Met, Nicola is rediscovering the joy in everyday objects.

Taking a playful approach to colour and pattern, pairing brights with rustic clays, and creating objects intended to be held and used over and over again.

Mushypeadesign

Mushypeadesign celebrates colour and quirkiness, with many designs inspired by pop culture, Mexican and Japanese art. I’m a little cat obsessed and my company is actually named after a very special cat! Trained as an illustrator, all my work is completely handmade from sketch to finished design and no two pieces are ever the same. I design and make statement earrings, charms and necklaces in both acrylic and white clay with hand painted details featuring 18 carat gold plated chains etc and semi precious stones. I also produce a range of cat themed greetings cards, sticker sets and temporary tattoos which are digitally printed from my illustrations. Throughout all my processes I try to make my work as eco friendly as possible, using recycled card, paper and plant based cello bags for my card designs and packaging and produce some zero waste earring designs utilising as much of the offcuts as possible.

Suzanne Claire Jewellery

Using silver chain, wire and sheet as alternatives to thread, wool and fabric, I handcraft beautiful and tactile French knitted, crocheted, embroidered and woven jewellery.

Each piece is characterised by a slinky movement and feel on the skin, or is visually enlivened by the manipulation of the original surface texture.

Splashes of colour are added through semi precious beads and threads, giving each creation a playful quality.
