Artist profiles and statements
Chris Urwin
Chris creates multicoloured aluminium and silver jewellery inspired by natural forms, mid century pattern design and mark- making. She paints and textures the pieces by hand, all her work is hand finished and unique.
UME
I am a designer maker based in North Wales and work mainly in recycled silver but have recently started to incorporate enamel into my designs. As I wanted to start adding pops of colour to my simple contemporary jewellery.
Frankie & Eric
Eric Pitts
These pieces focus on animals illustrated through ink and pen using aspects of abstraction conveyed through the colour. Due to the nature of my illustrations, I prefer to reproduce my work as prints and sell them as opposed to the original pieces.
Through my work, I like to combine accurate, realistic forms with aspects of abstraction through colour choice and some alteration. The colours I use are a combination of the source colours and abstract colours not within the source, with a primary focus on replacing blacks and other dark contrasting areas with pinks and deep purples.
Frankie Bryn
I make crochet flowers and bouquets, this is a way for people to have flowers in their homes that will last forever, this also works for people who are sensitive to scents or allergic to flowers but still want them in their homes. They’re also perfect for people who have pets who would destroy or eat the flowers otherwise.
Francis Allwood
I make original prints inspired by a life-long love of nature from my little home studio in North Wales. I especially like to play with the collagraph process to animate my animals with a subtle glint of character that will make you smile; the range of expression that can be gained by manipulating cardboard or, even better, an old oat milk box is really very exciting! As well as bringing original prints, both professionally framed and for the browser, I also stock a range of greetings cards, coasters and notebooks based on my original print designs.
HER Ceramics
From her studio on the Isle of Anglesey, North Wales, Harriet creates small batches of stoneware ceramics for the home. Focusing on functional forms, subtle glaze finishes, and organic textures, each piece is thoughtfully made to encourage a sense of connection, while celebrating the quiet craftsmanship and tactile nature of handmade objects.
Cynefin Crafts
Quirky and Colourful Handmade Ceramics. Made in my Home Studio in North Wales.
Jenny Murray Ceramics
I make a variety of decorative and domestic ceramics, wheel thrown and hand built.
Saltwater & Starlight
Saltwater & Starlight Ceramics are handmade on the Llŷn Peninsula by Pwllheli based artist Jessica Leese. Jessica takes inspiration from the Stunning Scenery of North Wales and the rich and diverse folklore of the United Kingdom. While also referencing her past as a jeweller and silversmith by including gold and platinum lustres in her work.
Coppermoss Jewellery
Kate Johnston from Coppermoss Jewellery creates bold, wearable art that blends contemporary design with historical influences. Kate’s work features striking, statement pieces made from etched brass, enamelled copper, eco silver, and Jesmonite. Among her signature designs are the unique Artist circle rings, eye-catching brooches, and vibrant enamelled earrings and statement necklaces, each creation is a one-of-a-kind, handcrafted piece, made entirely by hand in her North Shropshire studio. She is currently creating a series of small planetary sculptures to sit alongside her jewellery.
Kate, originally trained as a Theatre Designer, has spent her career immersed in the arts, working as both a community artist and designer. Over the last five years, she has shifted her focus to jewellery design, creating her own brand, Coppermoss Jewellery. Kate frequently exhibits and sells her work at open studio events, curated art markets, and galleries across Norfolk and Shropshire and beyond!
Lost In The Wood
Laura Cameron (Lost In The Wood) uses crochet and needle felting to create vibrant soft-sculptures inspired by anatomy, medicine and plants. Laura enjoys subverting the expectations which often accompany textiles, promoting them as a place where art, science, and stories meet. She is based in North Wales.
Maggie Evans Basketry
Maggie creates a range of baskets inspired by the colours found in the natural landscape of the coast and mountains near her home on Ynys Mon
Ness Hooper Silver
I am a jewellery designer and maker living in North East Wales. I mainly work in sterling silver using traditional silver smithing techniques. I also use semi precious stones and seaglass. With a background in mathematics many of my designs are based on abstracted geometric shapes- curves and rectangles, but sometimes the designs are just inspired by the stone or glass I’m using.
Rag Bagz
I made handmade bags from my small workshop in Tregarth, using upcycled outdoor equipment and materials.
