Are you aged 14 – 18 and aspire for a career in the visual arts?
We are looking for 12 young artists aged 14 – 18 to take part in our FREE new young artists programme at Mostyn.
Funded by The Tyrer Trust and Shared Prosperity Funding, PORTFFOLIO offers a series of hands-on, creative workshops, exhibition tours, talks and discussions with artists and the Mostyn team. As part of PORTFFOLIO you will receive:
- Mentoring with professional artists
- Be part of a creative group of likeminded young creatives supported by Mostyns team
- Build a portfolio of new work; developing your skills and confidence in making art through a variety of creative workshops
- Materials and equipment to take part
- Valuable insight into careers in contemporary art and the creative industries
- The opportunity to undertake the ‘Arts Award’ Gold programme, worth 16 UCAS points
You don’t need to be taking art for your GCSE’s or A Levels to take part in PORTFFOLIO. We welcome applications from young people from all backgrounds, you just need to be:
- Aged 14 – 18
- Have a passion for contemporary art and design
- Be a creative thinker
- Aspire to a future in the creative industries
- Must be able to attend all the sessions
The term will take place in person at Mostyn Gallery over the following dates: 29/10/24, 30/10/24, 31/10/24, 1/11/24, 2/11/24.

The selected young artists will be notified on the 24th of October. Spaces on the programme are limited to 12 young artists to take part this time, but please do not worry, we will have other opportunities should your application not be chosen.
