Oriel Mostyn

plate cafe

The Mostyn Gallery Café was relaunched in December 2011. Steve Hewitt, Laurie Ryan and Toby Watson bring to the table a fresh contemporary approach to their food and pastries.

Serving a delicious fusion of Mediterranean and North African dishes, from khoubz wraps, to marinated and roasted whole chickens, flatbread pizzas, to lamb tagines and local fishcakes with harissa yoghurt dipping sauce, their offering brings a modern and vibrant twist to Llandudno’s cafe scene.

Alongside this mezze of food the café serves cakes and pastries from local patissier Choc O Art. Classic offerings like carrot cake, Baked New York Cheesecake and Bakewell tarts are joined by daily baked scones and muffins… all served with delicious coffee, hot chocolate, a choice of teas or soft or alcoholic cold drinks – the café is now licenced. Look out also for daily specials and two course meal deals.

If you would like to reserve a table please call the café on 01492 869013.

Light and airy with broad bay windows, a striking light installation by Gavin Fraser of noted lighting architects foto-ma, and north Wales’s Darryl Lonsbrough’s large-scale colour photographs the cafe is the ideal place to stop for a break.
