Call for applications: Pop-up North Wales Contemporary Craft Fair 

We are pleased to announce a series of five pop-up North Wales Contemporary Craft Fairs to be held at Mostyn in Llandudno, North Wales.

The pop-up fairs will take place in our Project Space and our building’s entrance space, and  are a fantastic opportunity for artists from all over the UK to present work for sale at Mostyn on the following dates: 

  • Saturday July 13th 2024
  • Saturday August 10th 2024
  • Saturday October 12th 2024
  • Saturday November 9th 2024
  • Saturday December 14th 2024

If you are an individual artist, maker, designer, studio, group, collective or an art material supplier you can find out more about our fairs, read the terms and conditions and apply for a stall.

Our building is fully accessible and admission is FREE.

  • Cost:  £45 per table, per fair

Please submit your completed application form and email the requested images by 5pm on Monday 3rd June 2024. Applications without supporting images will not be processed.

We will only hold your data and contact you with regards to the Pop-up North Wales Contemporary Craft Fairs 2024 at Mostyn. After the event contact details and information will be stored securely for 6 years for audit purposes. We will only contact you with regards to the Pop-up North Wales Contemporary Craft Fairs 2024.

We will not share your details with any third party.

Full Information 

1x table and 1x chair will be supplied.

Spaces will be allocated at the discretion of Mostyn. 

Please note that you are responsible for your own health and safety whilst setting up, taking down and staffing your stall. Mostyn cannot accept responsibility for any injury or damage caused to yourself or anyone else by your stall.

Stallholders must set up their stall themselves. Stallholders must bring their own table coverings, props and displays.  

Tables will be available to set up from 8.30am on the day of the Fair. Drop off/loading access is limited at the rear and front of the building. 

Trading will begin at 10.30am and will cease at 4.30pm and the fair will close to the public. Trading must not cease before 4.30pm.

Stalls must be set up within the allocated parameters, and must not cause any obstruction to members of the public or other stallholders. It is also the responsibility of the stallholders to ensure that their stall is kept tidy and free from any trip hazards, litter etc.

Any free-standing stall furniture [e.g. stands, units, racks etc] must be adequately installed and if necessary weighted. 

No electricity or generators will be provided, nor can any be used during the fair.

At the end of the fair stall holders are responsible for removal of stalls and stall furniture/displays, property and litter. Stalls must be cleared by 6.00pm.

The nearest carpark is Llandudno Train Station which is a five-minute walk from the gallery. Please note this is a pay and display car park.

Terms 

Applications are welcome for any combination of dates for our Pop-up Fairs. Please note we cannot guarantee a space at each Fair. Spaces will be allocated at the discretion of Mostyn.

Applications are invited from individuals, designers, studios, groups, collectives and art material suppliers. 

Please let us know if you require any adjustments or assistance when you book your stall. 

All work must be original and by the individual/group members and made using traditional or contemporary craft, art and print related methods.

Applications will be reviewed on a number of criteria including quality, consistency of work, pricing and variety. 

Feedback cannot be given on any unsuccessful applications.

No commission will be charged on sales, you will be responsible for dealing with any sales. 

You are responsible for your own tax and national insurance contributions. 

Stallholders must provide evidence of their own public liability insurance – a copy of which must be given beforehand to Mostyn. Stallholders must also agree to follow and meet all health and safety requirements. 

Successful applicants are required to pay fees in advance for all fairs they are participating in by June 30th 2024. Stallholders will receive an invoice along with their information pack. 

Stall fees are non-refundable. No refunds will be given under any circumstances. Any stallholders who cancel cannot pass their stall onto a third party. 

Mostyn cannot be held responsible for any loss/or damage to any property or stock of those exhibiting at the fair. 

Stallholders are liable for all claims arising from their goods and services.

Mostyn reserves the right to request the removal or any content or stall, stall furniture that is deemed offensive, inappropriate or dangerous.
